I feel kinda stupid. injust learned that Toonami officially ended September 20th, 2008. Gone. Over. I've been watching toonami since it began, being the premire place to find good action cartoons. It's where i first saw gundam wing, my favorite anime. i could list so many more shows that i first saw there. so many good memories. i remmber when it was hosted by Moltar at ghost planet studios. I remember seeing the first preveiws of the new toonami to follow. I remember when TOM first walked on screen, pudgy little blue radioactive buddy that he was. I remember The Intruder, the first total immersion event. i watched every update. I remember SARA being introduced. i remember the death of TOM, followed by the birth of TOM 2.0. I remember helping to pick the absolution's new engines. I remember the other Total Immersion Events. I remeber TOM and SARA being upgraded again to newer forms. I remeber the Midnight Run, the prototype adult swim, and a much beter form at that. I remember staying up to watch Char's Counterattack that one night, and missing the end because i finally fell asleep. I remember the transition from a weekday show to saturdays only, and being exceedingly upset over it. I remember toonami's 10th aniversary when the art style went from fricken awesome to pretty bleh. but still i kept on watching. i missed the final transmission because i was firing potatoes out of a cannon.
Tonami was an integral part of my youth. for 11 years i've watched it. i've stuck with it through the ups and downs. I've loved it through it all. And i'm very sad to see it go. Goodbye Toonami. Goodbye forever.
